Ah, the Playa Phone. That's the Playa Phone mastermind there, holding one of his creations. (I lost his email address, so if your reading this, Playa Phone Man, please email me.) He installed six of these phones around the city, connected by actual phone wire, and people could press a buzzer which would ring on every phone, signaling someone to pick up. The conversations were incredible: they seemed edited, like someone had already gotten rid of the junk. The quality was a great comment on the citizens of Black Rock City. And of course we at Wrybread Radio transmitted almost all of it live over the air. You can hear it in the Wrybread Radio realaudio section.
The Playa Phones, after their service.
