| This
is a collection of my best recorded songs, you might call it Hugh Mann's
Greatest Hits. I play every instrument except where noted in the liner notes.
I called it Travelling Through Musical States because it goes all over the
musical map, starting with Brazilian-influenced guitar and somehow gracefully
followed by overdubbed phone sex, then going into the post apocalyptic |
gyrating
ooze of the soundtrack Gametone Mic and I played
for the play Atomic Stoneage, then into
some music made by blowing on cardboard
tubes beneath an accoustic guitar melody, then into my musical representation
of a yoga buzz, and then back to Brazilian style. It's
all non commercial in the sense that we made it only because we wanted to,
as opposed to trying to get |
some
record label's attention. It's also made without computers, or at least
without PCs or Macs. Yeah we used a sampler from time to time, but by today's
standards it was practically analog. And we almost never sampled anyone
else's music; only our own sounds went into everything, for better or worse.
Here's a few samples, the MP3s sound much better than the RealAudio. Need
help? |
